Ezekiel 42:3
The Scripture
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Ezekiel 42 describes the priestly chambers of the temple, as the guide brings the prophet into the outer court toward the north and shows him the chambers over against the separate place, a hundred cubits long and fifty broad, with galleries in three stories. It explains that the priests who approach the Lord are to eat the most holy things and lay their garments there before going out to the outer court, since the holy garments must not profane the outer court. The chapter closes with the measurement of the temple's entire outer court-five hundred reeds on each side, north, south, east, and west-surrounded by a wall to make a separation between the sanctuary and the profane place.
