Ezekiel 32:25
The Scripture
(25) They have set her a bed in the midst of the slain with all her multitude: her graves are round about him: all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword: though their terror was caused in the land of the living, yet have they borne their shame with them that go down to the pit: he is put in the midst of them that be slain.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Ezekiel 32 opens with a lament for Pharaoh, likened to a young lion and a sea monster whom the Lord will catch in His net and cast to the birds and beasts. The prophet then describes Pharaoh's multitude descending to the pit to join Assyria, Elam, and other slain nations lying in shame. The chapter closes with Pharaoh comforted only by seeing these nations share his fate as the Lord's terror fills the land of the living.
