(18) Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, even her, and the daughters of the famous nations, unto the nether parts of the earth, with them that go down into the pit.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Ezekiel 32 opens with a lament for Pharaoh, likened to a young lion and a sea monster whom the Lord will catch in His net and cast to the birds and beasts. The prophet then describes Pharaoh's multitude descending to the pit to join Assyria, Elam, and other slain nations lying in shame. The chapter closes with Pharaoh comforted only by seeing these nations share his fate as the Lord's terror fills the land of the living.
