The Scripture

(7) Behold, therefore I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and will deliver thee for a spoil to the heathen; and I will cut thee off from the people, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries: I will destroy thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)

Ezekiel 25 contains prophecies against Israel's neighbors: the Ammonites, who said 'Aha' over the desolation of the sanctuary and Judah's captivity, are to be given to the men of the east as a possession. Moab and Seir, who judged Judah as wicked, will be overrun and made a desolate plain from which the Lord will execute judgments. Edom, who dealt vengefully against Judah, will have its mountains laid waste, and the Philistines, who took vengeance with a despiteful heart, will be destroyed. The chapter closes with the Lord executing great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes, so that they shall know that He is the Lord when He lays His vengeance upon them.
