Ezekiel 12:6
The Scripture
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Ezekiel 12 begins with the Lord calling the prophet to act out the exile before the rebellious house of Israel, preparing baggage for moving by day and digging through the wall at dusk to go out as one going into captivity, so that perhaps they will consider. It explains the sign: the prince in Jerusalem who bears his stuff and goes out, who is captured and brought to Babylon, and whose people are scattered among the nations. The chapter closes by refuting the people's scoffing proverb that the vision is for far-off days, declaring that none of the Lord's words will be delayed any longer but the word He has spoken shall be done.
