The Scripture
(18) And the sons of Kohath; Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel: and the years of the life of Kohath were an hundred thirty and three years.

Moses and Aaron go to Pharaoh with a request for the Israelites to be released from slavery, but Pharaoh refuses and sends the elders to hear his decree. The chapter records the Israelites' continued hardship and the increasing anger of God, setting the stage for a stronger demand.
