Ecclesiastes 6:2
The Scripture
(2) A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity, and it is an evil disease.

In this chapter the author reflects on the futility of human plans and the brevity of life, urging a focus on the present moment. He describes how the day is filled with toil and sorrow, and that the heart is heavy with the weight of endless labor. The message is that there is no lasting value in striving for success, and that true peace comes from accepting the ordinary rhythm of existence.
