Deuteronomy 9:11
The Scripture
(11) And it came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, that the LORD gave me the two tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant.

The Israelites are reminded of the covenant God made with them at Sinai and instructed to keep the commandments and follow the way of the Lord. They are warned that if they forget these laws they will fall into sin and be cut off from God's blessings.
