The Scripture
(7) But out of a branch of her roots shall one stand up in his estate, which shall come with an army, and shall enter into the fortress of the king of the north, and shall deal against them, and shall prevail:
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Daniel 11 is a detailed prophecy tracing the rise and conflicts of Persian and Grecian kings, followed by generations of war between the king of the south and the king of the north. It describes a deceitful ruler who seizes power through flattery and defiles the sanctuary. The chapter ends at the time of the end with a self-exalting king who meets his downfall with no one to help him.
