The Scripture
(37) After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
In this chapter the early church faces renewed persecution after Stephen's bold speech is condemned by the council. The believers are arrested and Stephen is stoned to death, showing the cost of their faith. Despite the violence, the church remains united and continues its mission.
