The ship that had been sailing from the east is driven by a sudden storm into the waters near the islands of the east, where it is caught in a reef and the crew is rescued by a Roman vessel. After being taken to Alexandria and then to Jerusalem, the ship sails to Rome where the passengers are released.

(1) And when it was determined that we should sail into Italy, they delivered Paul and certain other prisoners unto one named Julius, a centurion of Augustus' band.
