The Scripture
(20) And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope that we should be saved was then taken away.

The ship that had been sailing from the east is driven by a sudden storm into the waters near the islands of the east, where it is caught in a reef and the crew is rescued by a Roman vessel. After being taken to Alexandria and then to Jerusalem, the ship sails to Rome where the passengers are released.
