Chapter overview (whole chapter)

After Jesus’ resurrection the apostles gathered at the house of Mary and the apostle Peter on the day of Pentecost and a wind filled the house as tongues of fire appeared enabling the believers to speak in other languages. The Holy Spirit empowered them to preach the gospel to Jews and Gentiles causing great attention and leading to persecution. This event marks the beginning of the early church’s mission and unity.
