Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Jehoram of Israel joined Jehoshaphat of Judah and the king of Edom to fight against Moab, but their armies nearly perished from lack of water in the wilderness until Elisha prophesied that the LORD would fill the valley with water without wind or rain. The armies defeated Moab, but the king of Moab, in desperation, offered his firstborn son as a burnt offering on the wall, causing great indignation against Israel.
