The Scripture
(19) And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Jehoiakim of Judah became a vassal of Nebuchadnezzar but later rebelled, bringing raiding bands against Judah as the LORD had warned through His prophets. His son Jehoiachin reigned only briefly before surrendering to Nebuchadnezzar, who carried him and much of Jerusalem's population captive to Babylon.
