The Scripture
(25) And like unto him was there no king before him, that turned to the LORD with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there any like him.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Josiah read the Book of the Law to the people and renewed the covenant with the LORD, then purged Judah and Jerusalem of idols, high places, and idolatrous priests, even defiling the altar at Bethel. He then celebrated a great Passover unlike any since the days of the judges, though the LORD's anger against Judah for Manasseh's sins remained.
