The Scripture
(30) And the LORD said unto Jehu, Because thou hast done well in executing that which is right in mine eyes, and hast done unto the house of Ahab according to all that was in mine heart, thy children of the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Jehu had the seventy sons of Ahab beheaded and their heads brought to Jezreel in baskets, then killed all of Ahab's remaining supporters and relatives to fulfill the LORD's word against Ahab's house. Jehu also deceitfully gathered the worshippers of Baal into their temple and had them all slaughtered, destroying Baal worship out of Israel.
