The Scripture
(2) And Ahaziah fell down through a lattice in his upper chamber that was in Samaria, and was sick: and he sent messengers, and said unto them, Go, enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron whether I shall recover of this disease.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
After Ahaziah fell through a lattice and sent to inquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron whether he would recover, Elijah intercepted the messengers and declared that Ahaziah would die for consulting a foreign god instead of the LORD. When Ahaziah sent captains of fifty to seize Elijah, fire came down from heaven and consumed two companies before the third captain humbly pleaded for his life and Elijah went with him to deliver the message directly to the king.
