(5) Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Paul warned that on his coming visit he would not spare those who had sinned, urging the Corinthians to examine themselves to see whether they were in the faith. He closed with an appeal to be perfect, be of good comfort, live in peace, and a benediction invoking the grace of Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost.
