I Thessalonians 5:14
The Scripture
(14) Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Paul taught that the day of the Lord would come like a thief in the night upon those in darkness, but believers as children of light should stay sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love and the helmet of the hope of salvation. He closed with practical exhortations to comfort the feeble, rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and abstain from all appearance of evil.
