The Scripture
(26) And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

David appoints Urijah as queen and gives her the palace and the livestock of the house of David, making her the queen of Israel. Solomon is then made king and the kingdom is divided between his two sons, Rehoboam and Solomon.
