I Kings 21:24
The Scripture
(24) Him that dieth of Ahab in the city the dogs shall eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat.
Chapter overview (whole chapter)
Ahab coveted Naboth's vineyard, and when Naboth refused to sell his inheritance, Jezebel arranged false witnesses to have Naboth stoned to death so Ahab could seize the land. Elijah confronted Ahab with God's judgment that dogs would lick his blood and devour Jezebel, and Ahab humbled himself, causing the LORD to delay the disaster until after his death.
