I Chronicles 9:12

First Chronicles 9 records the first families to resettle Jerusalem after returning from the Babylonian captivity, listing heads of households from the tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and Ephraim, along with priests and Levites who resumed their duties. Special attention is given to the gatekeepers of the tabernacle, who were responsible for guarding the sanctuary and its sacred vessels. The chapter closes with a genealogy of King Saul, bridging the resettlement account to the narrative of Israel's monarchy that follows.
